Dublin

Days 31 & 32 - Well we are at the end of the holiday as they say in Europe.  The Shelbourne Renaissance Hotel we are staying at in Dublin is very upscale and the room is big and beautiful.  Thank goodness for Marriott points.  It is a nice way to finish up the trip.

The heart of Dublin is really small and very enjoyable.  We took a walking history tour yesterday morning with a guide who was very informative and funny.  Got a lot of interesting facts.  Don't know how much I will remember though.  We also took an on off bus tour which we will do again today.  Except for a couple of sites, not too much to see outside of the heart of the city.  It was cold and overcast today so we had to bundle up.  Our guide said this is the rainy season in Ireland.  It starts Jan. 1st and goes to Dec. 31st.

We have switched from wine to beer.  Guinness to be exact.  Even Sue has enjoyed it.  That really shocked me.  Even though they are on the metric system and use liters as measurements  you still ask for a pint of Guinness.  Guess somethings never change.

Tomorrow we leave for home.  Hope you enjoyed the blog and we look forward to seeing you.
